Events and hot tickets in London this week and weekend

Grace Jones Sings in London This Week!

This week's hottest events in London from jewellery workshops to face time with Tom Ford. Who cares if it's raining when Grace Jones is in town with more of her wondrous on-stage wiggling and the Harrods sale is here to lift our spirits!

Events

Meet Tom Ford
The most immaculately dressed man in fashion will be at the  Apple Store in  Regent Street this Thursday (14th June) along with  Grazia's Style Director  Paula Reed (some people get all the best gigs). It's first come first serve for tickets and we predict queues to see the designer with the Midas touch.  3pm-4pm Apple Store, Regent Street.

The Trooping of the Colour
It's easy to forget after the Jubilee weekend that it is The Queen's official birthday on June 16. Her Royal Highness will be on her balcony at 1pm to see the Royal Air Force's traditional fly past. Head to Buckingham Palace to catch this momentous event.

The Harrods Sale
It starts on Saturday 16th but we don't know as yet who will be opening the doors. Last year Gemma Arterton did the honours. One thing we do know is that it probably won't be Sasha Baron Cohen as his Dictator alter ego!

Music

Lovebox Festival
Victoria Park's famous music festival celebrates its tenth birthday this June and the lineup is unmissable with headline acts including Hot Chip (whose new album is out this week), Friendly Fires, Emeli Sande, The Rapture and the ever-youthful Grace Jones (worth seeing just for her on-stage hoola hoop skills as seen at The Queen's Jubilee concert). There'll be a few blasts from the past too such as Ms Dynamite, Felix Da Housecat (it's been too long!) and Groove Armada. Victoria Park Friday 15- Sunday 17th June. Tickets from £29

Shopping

Jewel East
Part of London's Jewellery Week Festival, the Jewel East weekend at Spitalfields Market is always a draw for those seeking cool new pieces at affordable prices, all by tomorrow's big stars. There are quite a few interactive jewellery-making workshops to take part in if you fancy yourself as the next Lara Bohinc ( Tatty Divine have a few fun ones lined up) and you can commission a special piece from any one of the up-and-coming designers who are exhibiting. Spitalfields Market. Friday 15- Sunday 17th June. Free
