Until recently, I have always associated the brand Furla with slightly older women with a classic sense of fashion. I have never thought of the label as being avant-garde in its design or ad campaigns until the launch of the Candy bags for spring-summer 2011. The quirky collection of bags consisted of brightly coloured PVC bags looking almost like giant boiled sweets and with all the childhood memories of jelly shoes (all the necessary ingredients for an 'it' bag).
Well, following the success of this collection, Furla have now launched four new editions of the Candy bag (Pic Nic, Aerospace, Rockstar and Burlesque) and as part of the publicitiy campaign, a world tour is taking place in collaboration with artist, Sissy. Kicking off in Milan last September, events have since taken place in Tokyo, Moscow and New York before arriving at the Galeries Lafayette in Paris this weekend! Girls dressed in white robes adapted the model of the bag using various accessories and materials to create their own version of this awesome fashion item.
To celebrate the launch of the new collection, we're giving one lucky reader the chance to win the adorable mini Candy bag USB in hot pink, every fashionista's must-have piece of technology. Simply follow our Paris correspondent @SophiaHelenePand RT #ByouParis. Closing date midnight 24th April 2012 Bonne chance!
