Even the US President’s got the Carly Rae bug...

Carly Rae who? Where on earth did she come from!? One minute nobody knows her, next thing absolutely everyone’s singing (humming for the more timid amongst us) Call Me Maybe. If you haven’t heard the song by Carly Rae Jepsen, you’re a total wizard because I think it’s quite literally impossible to avoid this sickeningly-catchy tune...  I’m hooked!

In all fairness however, I am not alone considering the host of celebrities and personalities who have lip-synced the lyrics together with bad-ass dance moves and posted the final result on Youtube (ahhh where would we be without good old Youtube?!). It all started with Justin Bieber and his girly back-up duo (girlfriend Selena Gomez and her Disney pal Ashley Tisdale) followed by my preferred, slightly drunken, rendition by Katy Perry and friends.





But my all-time favourite has got to be this mash-up of President Obama’s speeches creating a near perfect version of the song – it also had me wondering why Obama needs to say ‘baby’ so often during speeches!?
