When it comes to collaborations and marketing campaigns, Lancome clearly don't like to waste time. We barely had time to cover the forthcoming Alber Elbaz collaboration with the brand before they were already announcing plans to launch a limited edition clutch/make-up case with fabulous accessory designer Olympia Le Tan and now that's hit the shelves we're hearing news they'll be partnering with American designer of the moment Jason Wu.
However don't get too excited just because the release date for this collaboration is not until much later in the year but it'll definitely be a perfect pick me up treat once those long awaited summer vacations are over (I know, I can't believe I'm already talking about the end of summer!). After recently making its Presidential headline, Jason Wu shot to fame amongst chic and elegant customers with a keen eye for a trend and Lancome is hoping the partnership will help broaden their client base,
'By partnering with Jason, we are able to reach an even more fashion-savvy and sophisticated woman', Silvia Galfo, Lancôme's Senior Vice President of Marketing, told WWD.
This will be the first time Jason Wu has branched out into the cosmetics industry but the designer explains that the pair make a perfect match based on their values,
'What was so intriguing about partnering with Lancôme, beyond the unparalleled quality and luxury of their products, is the notion that the brand doesn’t impose a model of beauty but rather invites women to embrace themselves,' Jason stated.
'This is the embodiment of a truly modern, sexy and confident woman, much like the women I design for.'
Well we absolutely can't wait to embrace this exciting collection!
