A-List beauties Miranda Kerr and Mila Kunis were both voted Sexiest Woman Alive last year by readers of Esquire. Miranda hitting the top spot for the UK, Mila claiming the title in the US.
Both are brunettes and drop-dead-gorgeous, but they also share another interesting similarity: they champion simple make-up, which corroborates the long-held belief that guys generally prefer a natural look.
Men who know little about cosmetics (ie. most of them) would say that these beauties don’t wear much on their faces at all. We all know that 'natural' make-up does not necessary translate as 'minimal' make-up. It’s all about being clever. Just for the record, Mila Kunis looks pretty normal with a bare face (see picture).

Miranda is all for dressing up in the name of love. In a recent interview she said, ‘Every day, put a little makeup on, put on some nice underwear, and you'll keep your husband.’ A comment which may have riled a few feminists, but let’s be honest, we all want to please our partners.
I wouldn’t normally advocate dressing or styling someone a certain way solely to atrract the opposite sex, but it being Valentine’s Day, now’s the time to work with the statistics.
Below are some of my favourite natural power products, suitable for all skin tones because they’re warming, highlighting and subtly present. And the natural look is here to stay for more than just a season, just take a look at this face chart from MAC for Victoria Beckham’s New York Fall 2013 show this week/ I’ve included a few of the products used here in my hit list.

1. Foundation: Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup £38, Selfridges
2. Eyeshadow Palette: Soft Box Palette £31.50, Smashbox
3. Lip tint: £10, Body Shop
4. Blusher: Bronzing & Highlighting Face Powder Duo, now £11.75, Benefit
5. For contouring anywhere: Pro Sculpting Cream in Accentuate, £17.50. MAC

And finally, check out this video from Elle Magazine, showing exactly what I mean when it comes to wearing a natural makeup. The video shows behind-the-scenes footage of the cover shot Mila featured in. Strikingly beautiful, but not a fake tan or badly blended product in sight!
